Robert Augusta Farrar was the second child of John Harrison Sanders and Frances Nancy Day Farrar, and the first born in Louisiana. He married Julia Mary Peterson on 27 February 1873 in Claiborne Parish, La. He and Mary are buried in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lillie, La. along with some of their children.
