She then married Michael J. Johnson in 1964 and moved to Florence, Ore., in 1968, where they raised their two children, Edward Johnson and Lodell (Johnson) Halvorson. She worked as a bookkeeper for their excavation and sanitation businesses (Siuslaw Sanitary Service) in Florence. After a divorce and sale of the businesses, she returned to Colorado in 1988 where she co-owned and ran a trucking company (Rocky Mountain Transportation) in Canon City, Colo. In 2003, Loraine moved back to Oregon to be near her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her former spouse Michael J. Johnson, their children Edward (Julie) Johnson and Lodell (Allan) Halvorson. Her grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Emerald (Cody) Lowry, Tiffanie (Shane) Hartman, Kyle (Emily) Halvorson, Tanner Johnson, Hailey (Jacob) Sutton, Tess Johnson, Carter Halvorson, and her great-granddaughters Ripley Hartman, and Eliana Halvorson (Sept. 30, 2023). Loraine is also survived by her beloved Chihuahua King Arthur, her cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, R. Floyd and Vera, and her brothers, Warren and Verlin Rockey.
