Sharon K. Miller, age 74, of Warrensburg, Missouri, formerly of Warsaw passed away Monday evening August 21, 2023 at the Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg. She was born on March 7, 1949 in Leeton, Missouri the daughter of Luther Clay Dameron Sr. and Mary Florence (Brown) Dameron.
Sharon grew up in Leeton and graduated from Leeton High School in 1967. She went on to receive her Bachelors Degree in Home Economics from the Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg. On May 30, 1971 she was united in marriage to John D. Miller. John and Sharon made their home in Green Ridge, Missouri where they taught school for two years. They then moved to Warsaw in 1973.
Sharon was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw, the Women's Circle D, the Warsaw Jaycees, the Mid Missouri Photo Club and served as both Cub and Boy Scout Mother. Sharon provided daycare for many family and friends through the years. She was a talented cake decorator and many who knew her received a thoughtful card to celebrate a birthday or special occasion. Sharon worked as a substitute teacher for the Warsaw School District for many years. She also worked as a caregiver for the Lincoln Community Care Center and was a primary caregiver for her mother-in-law, Juanita Miller in her final years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Rosalee Kolster and Jane Kramer.
Sharon is survived by her husband, John Miller of the home, two sons; Nathan Miller, and his wife Michelle, of Warrensburg, Missouri and David Miller, and his wife Ashley, of Pleasant Valley, Missouri, three grandchildren; Erika Miller and her fiancé Jacob Sauther, Gawain Miller and Isla Rose Miller and a brother Luther Dameron, Jr. of Sedalia, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw, with Pastor Loren Whetsell officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Reser Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street in Warsaw. Interment will follow the funeral at the Fristoe Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw.
