Brigadier General British Army. Son of Major General Edward Abbot-Anderson and his second wife, Martha (Birkett) Abbot-Anderson. He married Irene Louisa De Beer in 1901 and they had one daughter. They divorced in 1913. He Joined the 96th Foot Regiment in 1878. he would have a long and distinguished career serving all over the world: Miranzai Expedition (1882) and South Africa (1900). As a Lieutenant Colonel he commanded the 3rd Battalion, Manchester Regiment, in 1904. From 1906-1911 Abbot-Anderson commanded the Peking Legation Guard. During World War I he commanded the 203 (North Wales) Infantry Brigade. He retired as a Brigadier General.
