Janie, of Colmesneil, passed away Saturday at her residence.
She was the Tyler County Auditor in the early 1980's and had retired from the trucking industry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Lillie Mae Snider Pate; husband, David Liss; daughters, Paula and Kelly and her granddaughter Jordan Largent.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Richard Best; step daughter, Tanya and husband David Deffenbough; brothers and sisters- in-law, Jesse and Barbara Pate and Jimmie and Margaret Pate; sister, Billie Wilkinson; grandchildren, Rodney Bowen, Jr., Hope Bowen, Macy DuBose, Josie Jeffcoat, Samantha Best, Jason and Stephanie Best, Alissa Deffenbough and Dalton Deffenbough; great grandchildren, Anna Whitaker, Zaidyn Bowen, Grace Best and Kaitlyn Griffin and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
