Charlie R. Belcher -PERRY - Charlie R. Belcher, 91, died Tuesday, February 17, 2004. Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 19, 2004 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:30P.M., Wednesday at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. -Mr. Belcher, born in Wadley, son of the late John Robert and Eva (Wise) Belcher had resided here for 56 years; was an Army Veteran and a member of the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corp). A retired farmer and rancher, he had also been a foreman for 15 years for Sam Nunn Farms. He was a Methodist and a Mason. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lee Belcher; children, Barbara Kitchens of Eastman, Shirley Ziegler of Kathleen, Charles Belcher of Warner Robins, Carolyn Watson of Perry, and Clyde Belcher of Cadwell; a sister, Bernice Saggus of Atlanta; brothers, Samuel Belcher of Port Orchard, WA and Ernest Belcher of Ft. Valley; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
