Ronald J. DiRenzi, Sr., a beloved figure whose warm heart and cherished presence touched the lives of many, passed away on August 14, 2023, at the age of 86. He was the devoted husband of the late Joan M. DiRenzi, a loving father to Linda Mozi, Karen Bell (James), and the late Ronald J. DiRenzi, Jr. His memory lives on through his adoring grandchildren, Kristi (Mike), Mark (Jess), Ashley, and Jim (Ashley), as well as his great-grandson Zachary.

Ron was the kindest, most compassionate and gentlest man and, although faced with adversity, would always help anyone in need. Ron had been known to literally give you his last dime and the shirt off his back. He worked incredibly hard to provide for his family, sometimes working 2 and 3 jobs, leaving little time for sleep. Anyone who knew Ron knew that he made up for that with his siestas at the shore. "Take three deep breaths and the shore air will cure everything".

Ron was an avid supporter of Philly sports, and in the true spirit of how he lived his life, Ron celebrated every victory and stood resilient in every defeat. Ron valued all of the friends he made along the way and did his best to ensure everyone felt his love for them.

But Ron's most treasured and cherished possession, if you will, was his family. He was their leader and role model and set the standard for how they should live their lives. Ron was adamant about sharing all that he had and most importantly sharing all of his time with those he loved. Ron's unwavering love and devotion were felt by each and every one of them, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

Ron's legacy is one of love, strength, compassion, kindness, and giving. As we come together to remember and celebrate his life, let us carry forward his spirit of unity, compassion, and devotion to family. In his memory, may we find solace, inspiration, and a reminder to hold our loved ones close.

Relatives and friends are invited to honor Ronald's life at his viewing, which will take place on Friday, August 18, 2023, at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Phila., PA 19114, from 9:00 to 10:15 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. The journey will conclude with his interment at Resurrection Cemetery, where he will find eternal peace.
