The three Ellis brothers that were killed by lightning, viz; Jesse, who was born in 1808, Louis in 1810, and Bartin in 1812, in 1831, will have a suitable monument at their graves. Relatives of these boys appointed a committee, made up a purse and purchased a nice monument. They erected it at their graves in the Ellis cemetery. Although years have passed these brothers have not been forgotten. Those that contributed were J. L. B. Ellis, W. B. Ellis, D. F. Storm, J. F. Ellis, G. W. Ellis, Loe Ellis, E. A. Ellis, G. F. Ellis, Roe Giberson, Madison Williams, Richard Rankins, H. W. Ellis, P. T. Ellis, J. F. Clawson, Nancy Ellis, Belle, Vina and Tina Ellis, J. J. Rankin, J. W. Waters, W. S. Rankins, Eck Brady, J. V.
