Death Notice - 2/10/2022 - The Register-Guard - Fred Leroy Kepler died peacefully on December 18, 2021, in Springfield, OR. As an esteemed film editor, he worked for American Film Institute, edited training films for Aircraft Companies; co-produced Eyescape, and edited agricultural textbooks for Oregon University. Fred lived most of his life on the West Coast in LA and Oregon. He was known for his amazing sense of humor, his musical talents, and his fondness for feral cats. He is survived by his loving parents, Fred and Lenore (Schofield) Kepler of Gloucester MA, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends with whom he grew up, worked, or met on Facebook. He was predeceased by his mother, Charlotte (Fisenne) Kepler in 1973 and his sister Michelle A Kepler "Shell" of Portland OR., in 2008. In January a family service was held on the Pacific Coast. Remembrances can be made to any charity or the Greenhill Humane Society, Eugene, OR.
