She was born July 12, 1928, in Clairton, Pa., a daughter of Michael and Helen Pastorick Pollick.
Betty attended St. Mary's School and was a 1945 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She was a bank teller and bank manager at Trumbull Savings and Loan, retiring in 1990, and a member of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church.
She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan until her last breath and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, playing cards and watching Hallmark movies.
Fond memories of Betty live on with her sons, William T. Bixler (Kathleen) and Robert A. Bixler (Patricia); daughters, Susan A. Battison (Robert) and Nancy B. Onder (Timothy); brother, Thomas Pollick (Joann); 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her loving husband of 49 years, William C. Bixler, whom she married April 14, 1951, and who passed away July 4, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Barbara Teachout; and brother-in-law, Richard Teachout.
Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, OH 44483. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Edward Stafford officiating and the Rev. Tom Eisweirth co-officiating. Interment will take place in All Souls Cemetery following the service.
