Funeral services for Esther Konstance Fossey, 94, who died November 12, 1992 at the Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar, were held November 16 at the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with Rev. Don Comnick officiating.

Esther Konstance Fossey was born February 28, 1898, Vernon Township near Kasson, Minnesota, to Mr. and Mrs. Knute Haugen. After her early schooling she became a housekeeper for elderly people. She married Otto Fossey November 26, 1941. They farmed west of Toeterville, until moving to St. Ansgar in 1947. Esther was a life long member of the Lutheran Church and various ladies circles.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Alfred; four sisters, Helga Haugen, Ella Fossey, Hilma Haugen and Rikka Olsen; two sisters in infancy; two step daughters, Irene Fossey and Alice Smesrud; one step son, Oliver Fossey.

Esther is survived by one step daughter Edith Griffith of Duncannon, Pennsylvania; one step daughter-in-law, Shirley Fossey, St. Ansgar; one sister, Josephine Haugen of Sacramento, California; 10 step grandchildren; 30 step great grandchildren; 1 step great great grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona.
