Johanna Young, 37, Idaho Falls, former Burley resident, died Sunday evening at an Idaho Falls hospital of cancer.
She was born Dec. 16, 1936 in Amsterdam, Holland, the daughter of Paul and Johanna Kok Elbrink and was educated in Holland.
She married Kenneth R. Young Dec. 27, 1957 in Gouda, Holland. She resided in burley until 1961 when she moved to Pocatello while her husband attended school. In 1964 she moved with her family to Idaho Falls, and had since resided there.
Mrs. Young was a member of the Idaho Falls 17th LDS Ward, having served in the Primary and as a Relief Society visiting teacher.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, both of Idaho Falls; her parents, two brothers and three sisters, all of Gouda, Holland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 1450 Mountain View Lane, Idaho Falls, with Bishop Ray Dickson officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Burley. In charge of arrangements is Williams Funeral Home, Idaho Falls.
