Laura lived with parents after first husband's death. Moved to Tucker Road at second marriage. Laura lost her first husband to cancer. I believe he was a fisherman. Laura could speak French. I believe she had Alzheimer's, but at that time they called is senility. She had stomach problems, wore dentures and glasses. I can remember that she raised chickens and had a garden. She did not have indoor plumbing until the 1960's There was an outhouse that was built by the WPA. When I stayed with her and had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, she had a 'slop' jar. I know she took in washing and cleaned other people's houses for money.
Mam-mae (Laura) spoke French when they didn't want us to know what they were gossiping about. She kept Chickens and sold eggs until age prevented it.
As per Daughter, Gladys's diary they washed and cleaned for other people.
Husband, Daniel Webb would get a mule and plow her a garden spot every year. Jessie [Nap] Davis lived with her all his life.

She was a native of Jackson County, having lived most of her life on Seaman Road. She was a member or St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
Mrs. Webb is survived by four sons, Joseph Fountain, Ocean Springs; Eugene Fountain, Biloxi; Elvin Webb, Ocean Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Tesola Davis, Mrs. Lucretia Seymour, Mrs. Gladys Seymour Ocean Springs; a step-daughter, Mrs. Armenia Fox, Bogalusa, La.; 24 grandchildren;63 great grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday from the J Ben O'Keefe Memorial Chapel followed by Mass at St, Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial was in Seymour Cemetery.
