Ralph Sheats, 48, Cancer Victim Services Wednesday
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, for Ralph David Henry Sheats,48, who passed away Monday morning, November 25, a victim of cancer.
Born December 9, 1915, in Pawnee, he has lived here all his life.
He married Imogene Othello Gilmore in Perry on June 15, 1945, and she survives as do 6 children and 4 great-children. The daughters are: Mrs. Doris Mayers of Springdale, Arkansas; Barbara of Colorado; Carilone and Rose Sheats both of the home and the sons are: Billy of Ponca City and Ralph, Jr. of the home.
Also surviving are 2 brothers, Ben Sheats of Parma, Idaho, and Lee Sheats of Pawnee and 2 sisters, Mrs. Lila Smith and Mrs. Marie Webb, both of Pawnee.
Mr. Sheats is a veteran of World War II, a carpenter by trade and a member of the Church of Christ here.
Ralph Toohty, minister of the Church of Christ, officiated at the service at the Poteet Funeral chapel and interment was in Highland cemetery under direction of the Pawnee Funeral Home.
