OBITUARY :
MRS. ELIZABETH BLANEY WHITMORE, 86, of Pen Mar, widow of John E. Whitmore, diedat 6:15 a.m. Sunday atthe Wolford Bible Convalescent Home, Fountaindale. She was taken ill November 17 and admitted to the Waynesboro Hospital November 21. She entered the convalescent home on December 17.

She was born in Baltimore, the daughter of Harry C. and Catherine (Dorner) Blaney.

Her early life was lived in Baltimore and she came tothe Rouzerville and Pen Mar vicinities in 1892. She was married the following year.

From 1905 to 1919, Mr. and Mrs. Whitmore farmed in Illinois and Iowa returning in 1919 to the Pen Mar where she had since lived. She attended the Pen Mar U.B. Church. Mr. Whitmore died in January 1952.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Naomi Archer, Baltimore.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Grove Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Raymond Grant. Burial will be made in Harbaugh's Cemetery.

Friends maycall from 7 until 9 tonight at the funeral home.
