Mark Hansen, 75, was placed safely in the arms of Jesus on Thursday, December 21, 2000, in St. George, Utah after a very sudden short battle with leukemia. He was born December 30, 1924 in Heyburn, Idaho to Aaron A. and Marva Jensen Hansen. He married Pearl Petersen on November 5, 1955 in Gandy, Utah.

Mark served his country in World War II. He was a man who loved life, adventures, his wife, children, and grandchildren, most of all he loved God and spent his life in service to Him.

Mark will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mark is survived by his wife Pearl Hansen of Parowan; five children, Joyce Hansen of Cedar City, Utah; Bruce Hansen of Magna, Utah; John Hansen of Garrison, Utah; Ruth Jackson of Enoch, Utah; and Mary Denman of Cedar City, Utah; 13 grandchildren; his mother Marva Hansen; four brothers, Elmer, Delmer, Lynn, and Don Hansen and four sisters, Colleen Childs, LaVon Davidson, Marva Beesley, and LaDell Payne. He was preceded in death by his father Aaron A. Hansen, and one brother Merlin Hansen.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, December 27, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of Jesus Christ in Parowan, Utah. Internment will be at the Garrison Cemetery, Garrison, Utah.
