Alice May Akers Shinneman King Graves. Excerpts from obit in Telluride Daily Journal June 16 1938: Mrs Alice Graves died Jun 9th at her Placerville home. She'd lived there since 1907. She was the widow of Frank Graves who had died in the 1930 Placerville hotel fire. She was born July 18 1894 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She moved to the Norwood area in 1891 and Placerville in 1907. She and her husband build and operated the hotel from 1920 until it burned. Survivors: three children from previous marriage Mrs May Rose of Placerville, Frank and Wilbur Shinneman of Oklahoma City four grandsons and four granddaughters; three sisters: Mrs JD Clark of Cottage Grove, Oregon; Mrs Milo Nance of Lathan, Kans; Mrs Melissa Davis of Moab, Utah; three brothers: Clark Akers of Placerville; Albert Akers of Medford, Oregon; and Charles Akers of Colorado Springs.

She was married three times. First to Benjamin F Shinneman Dec 22 1881 in Pueblo Co, Colo; second to George W King in about 1898; and third to Frank P Graves Sep 19 1911 in San Miguel Co, Colo.
