Mr. Javins retired from the US Navy at the rank of Commander. He served from 1936-1966. After retiring, he worked with the Navy Annex as a civilian for 10 more years.
Mr Javins is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Javins, mother-in-law Annabel Kokel, Son Rob Javins, Niece Pat Eadle, and Nephew Brian Javins.
He was predeceased by his parents Virginia and Orris, and his brothers Clarence, Davis, and James.
Visitation is Wednesday September 27, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The service will be held on the same evening at 7 p.m.

Arrangements are being handled by the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home in La Plata, MD.
