REBECCA LOUISE IBACH (Elliott)
Died peacefully at home on November 29, 2017 in Reston, VA at the age of 67.Rebecca is survived by her children, Arria Dawn Ibach Durham (Ryan Durham), Tara Hope Ibach and Sarah Ibach Stewart (Christopher Stewart); three grandchildren, Elliott O'Hara Durham, Goodwyn Charles Ibach Durham, and Chancelor Steven Ibach Durham; three sisters, Betty Jean Whitt, Bonnie Sue Davis and Billie Ann Thompson; one brother, Clifton Joseph Elliott.Rebecca was born on March 7, 1950 in Tappahannock, VA to Clifton and Arria Louise Elliott. She graduated from James Madison University in 1972 with a BS in Speech. After moving to the Washington, DC area, Rebecca began working in business development and advanced to a Vice President position. Her children remember her as a kind hearted and ambitious person who encouraged others to pursue their goals. She helped put all three daughters through college and was always there when they needed her. She was deeply loved by her grandchildren and very involved in their daily lives.Rebecca was a generous individual who loved animals and was passionate about animal rescue. She often volunteered with local organizations and owned three rescue Pomeranians over the years. Rebecca was a friend to all she met and would give anything to make someone else feel better. She was taken from us too soon and will be truly missed. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1854 Stratford Park Pl, Reston, VA. A private Interment will take place on Saturday, December 9 in the family plot at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Tappahannock, VA followed by a remembrance at 2 p.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name (http://act.alz.org/goto/rebeccaibach).
