He was born October 7, 1956 in Connersville, one of ten children of Franklin and Cleo Earl Mills.
A proud veteran, Roger served his country over ten years in the Army National Guard.
He was a member of Grandview Church of Christ. A talented handyman, Roger worked in residential maintenance. Outgoing and funny, Roger was always cracking jokes and trying to make people smile. He was also an avid gardener.
Survivors include six children, Mathew Dale Mills of Lakeland, Florida, Rachel Anne (Richard) Wilcox of Connersville, Melinda Anne Mills of Rushville, John Joseph (Audre'a) Mills, Franklin Luke Mills, and Thomas Warren Mills, all of Connersville; nineteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; seven siblings, Rosalie Mills, Judy (Jerry) Harris, Nancy Elaine (Jack) Caudill, Rita Kay Mills, Lela Frankie Ann Mills, Annabelle Roberts, and Lorelei (Michael) Lamberson, all of Connersville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Reisert; two siblings, Ellis John Bailey and Lorena Blair; and two brothers-in-law, James Mills and Robert Blair.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Larry Keller officiating. Burial with military rites conducted by the Army National Guard will be in Dale Cemetery.
