Gary Lee Stevens was born on February 9th, 1946, in Pryor, OK, the son of Melvin and Frances (Williams) Stevens. He grew up a household with two brothers and one sister, Ronald, Dusty and Sharon, and graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1964. Upon returning to the United States, he completed his Bachelors in Business at Northeastern State University. He developed a deep love of flying and anything to do with vintage aircraft and warbirds. He was a member of Experimental Aircraft Association, attending Airventure Flyin in Oshkosh, WI, and flew his Cessna 150 to the fly in.
