Mrs. S. Alice Elgin, widow of Chas. Elgin, of near Leesburg, and a lady who was most highly esteemed by a wide circle of warm friends, died at the home of her son, Mr. C.W. Elgin in Leesburg, where she was visiting, on Friday morning last. She was about 70 years of age, and death was due to a stroke of paralysis. She is survived by four sons and one daughter as follows: Messrs, C.W., A.T. & Lamar Elgin of Leesburgh, Frank Elgin of Washington, and Mrs. Rodeffer, of Lovettsville, Her remains were buried in Union cemetery, Leesburg on Saturday, Rev. Mr. Waters, of the Methodist Church of which she was a member, officiating.
