Mrs. John Ward Dies After A Long Illness

St. Paul, Oct 9 - Mrs. John Ward, 67 1326 Elliott avenue, Parsons, died about 9 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E Z Duvall, here, following an illness of several months. Mrs Ward had been in St. Paul for a week.


She was born on a Neosho county farm on Sept. 17, 1866.


Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband; four sons, Crusa Allman, Kansas City; Arthur Allman, Kansas City, Kas., Elmer Allman, Larmar, Colo., and Roscoe Allman, Garden City, Kas., and one daughter, Mrs. Duvall, St. Paul. She also leaves two brothers, Jess Brown, St. Paul and William Brown, Wichita; a sister, Mrs. Emma Noble, Cherokee, Ok.; two half-brothers, Ben Moore, St. Paul, and JIm Moore, Mexia, Tex, and a half-sister, Mrs. Ben Mihanes, Arma, Kan., Twenty-one grandchildren also survive.


Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the St. Paul Methodist church with the Rev. H E Straw officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove, eight miles northeast of Parsons. The body will lie in state at the home of Mrs. Duvall. The Carson funeral home is in charge.
