Dale was born on Feb. 19, 1949, at Jarman Memorial Hospital in Tuscola. He was the son of Wayne and Erma (Snider) Burnett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Darrell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, of 52 years. He is also survived by his five sons, Cory (Sara), Chad (Brandi), Jeff (Tabitha), Ryan (Molly) and Zach. Dale was loved wholeheartedly by his 10 grandchildren, Abigail, Crayton, Kennedi, Addison, Brady, Luke, Quinten, Cayden, Bronson and Liam.
Dale served his country proudly in the Illinois National Guard. After graduating from Eastern Illinois University, Dale returned to Villa Grove, where he taught, coached and served the Villa Grove school district for over 30 years.
Dale has impacted so many lives. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, friend, neighbor, teacher and Christian.
Visitation will be at Joines Funeral Home, Villa Grove, on Saturday, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon. Graveside services immediately follow at Villa Grove Cemetery.
