The Descendants of John Muss & Elizabeth Ceise: Exploring Four Generations

Born in the month of Sep 1824, and after 16 Sep 1824. John Muss immigrated from Schusckhamen, Prussia to the United States in 1848. John married Elizabeth "Eliza" M. Ceise about 1850 most likely in St Louis, Missouri and settled in Bullitt County, Kentucky with his wife. John was a blacksmith, and served the Union during the Civil War as a farrier for Company G of the 4th Kentucky Calvary. John and Elizabeth had 8 children as follows: Kate Muss, John Carroll Muss, Caroline "Carrie" F. Muss Cook, George W. Muss, Charles Muss, Mary Emma Muss Doriot, Elizabeth "Bettie" Muss Applegate, and Joseph P. Muss. During John's final years he stayed at a National Military Home in Dayton, Mongomery County, Ohio. John suffered and died from chronic dementia, organic brain disorder, and Senectus (old age) during his last days.
