HOWERTON GENERAL
Bean Station - General Howerton, 83, of Bean Station, died Monday, May 23, 1994 at Hillhaven Health Care. He was preceded in death by his wives Coques and Zelma Howerton. He was a member of Adriel Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Louise Johnson; son Ray Howerton; grandsons, Roger, Bill and Larry Johnson, Scott and Chris Howerton; granddaughter, Janie Cline, all of Bean Station; son-in-law, J.R. Johnson; daughter-in-law, Betty Howerton, sister, Grace Stubblefield of Mooresburg; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Adriel Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy Carroll and John Oliver officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Adriel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown.
