JOINT RITES FOR FATHER, SON SET

Bradfords To Be Laid To Rest On Saturday

Ossie E. Bradford, aged 44, of Luclan, Miss., son of John C. Bradford, of Muscle Shoals City, who passed away Thursday morning, died this morning at 3:15 o'clock at a hospital in Philadelphia, Miss., after an illness of two months.

Because of his death, final rites set for the elder Mr. Bradford, this afternoon were posponed, Double funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Okolona Baptist church, conducted by Rev. T.J. Rose, Rev. J.L. Caincs and Rev. Clarence Palmer. Burial will follow in Glendale cemetery, on the Joe Wheeler highway. Brown-Service directing. The Masons will be in charge of rites at the grave for the father.

The younger Mr. Bradford left Tuscumbia, 16 years ago, and since has been engaged in paving work as a plant superintendent, moving from place to place over the South as his work required. He was a member of the Okolona Baptist church, and had many friends here who leaned with deep regret of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Freddie Bradford; a son, O.E., Jr. and three daughters, Mrs. Annie Stone, montgomery; Mrs. Eola Leonard, Chattanooga and Mrs. Loyce Creekmore, Tuscumbia.

Pallbearers for the younger Mr. Bradford will be John B. Sockwell, Davis McBride, Willie Muhan, Ed Smith, J.E. Driver, John Elledge.

Pallbearers for the father will be John R. Underwood, George McBride, J.A. Branscome, O.F. McGuyer, Percy Hoskins, John Myhar.

The elder Mr. Bradford is survived by five sons, Will, Luther, Claud, Lonnie and Charles Bradford, Muscle Shoals City; two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Carpenter, Muscle Shoals City; Mrs. Will McGuyer, Muscle Shoals City; a brother, Fred Bradford, Tuscumbia, route one, and two half-brothers, Bob and Ed Gray, Tuscumbia, route one, grand children and eight great-grandchildren.
