Dennis Frederick Petesch, Sr., 75 of Atchison, KS, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Atchison Senior Village.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Father Jeremy Heppler, OSB as Celebrant. The burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Dennis was born October 8, 1947, the son of Frederick and Lucy (Bluma) Petesch. He was a mechanic for KCPL and Goodyear for many years. He was a past member of St. Theresea Catholic Parish, Perry, KS and the VFW in Topeka, KS. Dennis loved to farm and raise cattle, was a 4-H leader teaching auto repair. He also enjoyed racing cars, working on cars and NASCAR.

Dennis married Judy Faubion on April 12, 1969, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, she preceded him on August 22, 2004. Survivors include two sons, brother, two grandchildren.
He was also preceded by his parents, two brothers, Kenny and Larry Petesch and two sisters, Rose Wigley, Shirley Petesch and Connie Beeson.
