Lamar was born October 31, 1948 in Morgan County, the son of Allen Lamar Stinson and Verlin Helms Stinson. He worked as an HVAC Repair Specialist for over 30 years, last working for Arab Sheet Metal. He was a Church of God Minister.
He is survived by son: Matthew Stinson; granddaughter: Jasmin Meeks; sister: Joan Green (George). He was preceded in death by his son: Allen Michael Stinson and his parents: Allen and Verlin Stinson.
Graveside Service will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Rescue Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers to please make donations to Gober Funeral Chapel to assist with the funeral expenses.
