Death of Mrs. S. W. Kimmel

Mrs. Margaret J. Kimmel, wife of S. W. Kimmel, died suddenly Jan. 24th 1910 at her home in Saltillo age 54 years and 4 days. She is survived by her husband, 5 daughters, 4 sons and 2 brothers, Mrs. S. M. Curfman, of Pike Co., Ill., Mrs. B. O. Shope, Mrs. H. E. Huston, John W., and J. Melvin, of Saltillo and Miss Ruth I., Elsie H., Edward C. and Benj. F., at home and J. W. and D. B. Kough, of Saltillo, her brothers.

Mrs. Kimmel attended several church services on Sunday and was attending to her household duties on Monday apparently in her usual health when shortly after dinner and while sitting at the table she was stricken with heart failure and expired almost instantly. Mrs. Kimmel was a devout Christian mother, a dutiful wife and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. She was a life-long and faithful member of the Baptist church and while the church has lost a devout and faithful member, her family mourns the loss of a Christian mother and an exemplary lady.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Baptist church Thursday afternoon by her pastors Rev. Strayer and Rev. Stevenson after which interment was made in the Saltillo cemetery.

"Mother's left our home and gone to another,
We'll ever remember and never forget her love.
There's no home so lonely as one without a mother,
We'll live to meet her in her home above."
