Stella Louise Burton, 80-year-old Ketchum area resident, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023. She was born on March 8, 1943, in Wanette, Oklahoma to Guy and Stella (Brown) Austin. Louise went to school in Lexington, she attended technical school to get her licensed practical nurse certificate, then on to college at Rose State, and the University of Oklahoma, where she received her bachelor's degree in nursing. Louise worked for the State of Oklahoma at the Department of Health as a registered nurse and was a district manager of nursing. Louise loved traveling, going out to eat, ancestry research, being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the DAR and the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Geri Croslin, Shirley Henry, and Don Austin.
