Laura Ann Baum (nee Gordinier), 71, of Winfield, Missouri, passed away on June 11, 2023. She was born on December 17, 1951, at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland. Laura had a successful career as an accountant, primarily in the banking industry. She retired as a CPA from Aerospace Community Credit Union in St. Charles, Missouri.
Laura was a woman of many passions. She loved to travel, read, and garden. Alongside her husband, Tom, she led an active life filled with biking, golfing, country western dancing, and playing cards with their friends. They also enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Above all, Laura cherished spending time with her beloved grandson, Blake.
Laura will be deeply missed by her husband, Tom Baum, her son Brian (Jane) Willerding and grandson Blake Willerding, her three sisters Sandy (Donald Balcerzak) Gordinier, Cindy Gordinier, and Donna (Tim) Morgan, her bonus son Jeff (Diana) Baum, her bonus daughter Julie Glenn, her bonus grandsons Chris Baum, and Ryan (Toriann) Baum, her bonus great-granddaughters Rylee and Ellee Baum, her aunt Jeanne (Hunt) Rockwell, her uncle Hank Arndt, as well as her nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, E. Dean Gordinier, her mother, Patricia (Hunt) Gordinier, and her niece, Megan.
A visitation will be held at Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, family and friends will gather at The American Legion in Wentzville from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society (cancer.org) in Laura's memory.
