Mr. Larry Wayne Gabbard, 54, passed away April 20, 2012 at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was born January 14, 1958 in Manchester, KY, was the son of Paul and the late Gwendoline Edwards Gabbard, was the husband of Joyce Barrett Gabbard, was a carpenter, and a member of the Masonic Lodge # 939 and was a member of the Road Run Church of Christ.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joyce Gabbard, two daughters: Ms. Megan Gabbard and Ms. Amy Gabbard and a granddaughter: Harley Dawn Dooley all of Booneville, KY and his father: Mr. Paul Gabbard of Booneville, KY. Also surviving is one brother: Mr. Keith Gabbard of Booneville, KY and four sisters: Mrs. Diana Combs and Mrs. Melanie Combs both of Winchester, KY; Mrs. Karen Barrett of Crittenden, KY and Mrs. Juanita Tackett of Booneville, KY. Also, there are several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Gabbard were held Monday, April 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation on Sunday evening from 6 to 9:00 p.m. all at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Officiating the services were the Rev. James Cornett and Rev. Lucian Estridge with the burial following in the Douglas Burch Cemetery on Sturgeon in Owsley County. The Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements
