Anna C. Wolford, 84, of Dresden, Ohio died Thursday afternoon, July 20, 2023 at her home.

Born March 28, 1939 in Zanesville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Bart and Lillie (Westerviller) Wright and a graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Anna was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Dresden. She was an excellent homemaker and used those caring skills to benefit the community. Anna volunteered at Jefferson Elementary S chool for over fifty years. She also enjoyed volunteering at DVA. Anna's favorite people to spend her time with were her children, grandchildren and sisters. She loved them with all her heart.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, a daughter and son-in-law, five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, a sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth "Kenny" M. Wolford whom she married June 8, 1957 and who died July 19, 2003; six sisters, Dorothy Feasel, Mary Corder, Edith Flowers, Bety German, Ruth Bodine and Clarabell Fairall and two brothers, Wayne and Joseph Wright.

The family would like to thank Home Instead staff for the wonderful care mom received during her time of need especially Jean, Holly and Mandi. Also a special thank you to Mike Stotts who became a special caregiver and friend.

Calling hours will be NOON to 2pm Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the funeral home with Father Martin J. Ralko officiating. Burial will follow in Dresden Cemetery.
