Alberta M. Yordt, 79, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Bettendorf. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine where the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the committal service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Community Room. Alberta M. Franklin was born on October 1, 1943, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Viola (Frieden) Franklin. She was united in marriage to Donald James Yordt in Muscatine. Alberta was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching Western movies, eating snacks and spending time with her family.
Alberta will be deeply missed by her children, Karen Franklin and her fiancé, John Schaaf of Muscatine and Alice (Jerry) Bixby of Washington; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Alberta was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Fred Franklin.
