Sterling Massengill Branner, 86, member of a pioneer East Tennessee family and for many years a business man in Jefferson City, died yesterday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. William Baumhauer in Mobile, Ala.
The body will be taken to Jefferson City for funeral Friday.
Mr. Branner was a son of the late Col. Ben Branner, who served with distinction in the Confederate Army. His mother was Mrs. Margaret Massengill Branner. He was a relative of the late Bryant Branner, banker and business man, who died her a few years ago."
