Funeral services were held for George T. (Tom) Andrews Saturday, October 17 at the Spur Church of Christ. Bro. H.E. Johnson officiated, assisted by C.V. Allen.
Andrews was born April 14, 1877 and died October 16, 1952.

He came to Texas at the age of twelve and lived in Spur seven months. He was married to Mary McDonald at Comanche in 1899.

Pallbearers were Bailey Kimmel, Frank Murphy, T.A. Martin, Lloyd Rudder, Buster Arthur, Milton Addison.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Andrews of Spur; and children: Nellie Nance, Plainview; Millie Vickrey, Afton; Erna Mae King, Spur; John and Ellis of Brownfield; and Lonnie of Spur; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Interment was in Spur cemetery under the direction of Chandler´s.
