Betty Lou Kasmann (nee' Moman) was born December 30, 1936 in Caruthersville, MO to Walter Moman and Ruth (nee' Tanner). She passed away in Saint Clair, MO on Friday, July 14, 2023 at the age of 86 years.

Betty graduated from Union High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to Vernell Kasmann on October 12, 1957 at Zion United Church of Christ in Union. The couple made their home in Union and their marriage was blessed with three children. Betty worked at Brown Shoe Company in Union for many years and later worked at Meerschaum Pipe Factory in Washington until she retired.

Betty enjoyed a variety of hobbies throughout her life. She enjoyed drawing, writing, and taking photographs. She also enjoyed traveling to visit new places and kept a collection of rocks, sticks, and other items from her travels. Betty loved spending time with her family and helping to care for her grandchildren. She was a longtime volunteer with the Union Fire Department Auxiliary and she attended Zion United Church of Christ for many years.

The Kasmann family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the many family members and friends that helped to care for Betty in recent years. They would also like to thank the dedicated nurses and healthcare providers at Three Oaks Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Moman and Ruth Speight (nee' Tanner); her step-father, Knox Speight; parents-in-law, Raymond Kasmann and Elizabeth (nee' Kiewitt); her husband, Vernell Kasmann; one granddaughter, Lisa Kasmann; and two sisters, Lyndell Gumpenberger and Debbie Lewis.

She is survived by three children: Kevin Kasmann and wife Linda of Union, Sonya Kasmann of Union, and John Kasmann and wife Cindy of St. Clair; 11 grandchildren: Nathan Kasmann (Niky), Nicole Clapper, Eric Clapper (Danielle), Taylor Timmons (Valerie Leger), Amanda Hoeft (Ryan), Lindsey McKernan (Adam), Luke Kasmann (Isabella Bonastia), Derrick Miller (Cheyenne), Amber Wright (Jon), Jason Miller (Sam), and Lony Jost Jr. (Rebecca); 34 great-grandchildren: Jarek, Austin, Charlee, Mason, Rylee, Alex, Avery, August, Betty, Theodore, Gabby, Luke, Michael, Payton, Landen, Ryker, Layne, Waylen, Laycie, Grace, Kaiden, Liam, Odin, Hadley, Jayden, Mackenzie, Colton, Brad, Allysa, Marley, Cash, Riley, Nova, Josie, and Wyatt; one sister, Brenda Gluck of OH; two brothers: Ray Moman and wife Carol of CA and Frank Moman of Doniphan, MO; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO with Pastor Roger Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Zion UCC Cemetery.
