Born January 27, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of James Brown Carraway and Mary Ann Larrimore Howard (1926 - 1978). Carol's parents divorced when Carol was only a few years old. Carol never knew or saw her father while growing up. Carol's mother is buried in Tilghman Memorial Cemetery (Mary Ann Howard) and it is believed her father is buried in Virginia, probably Richmon.
Carol lived in Baltimore, Maryland for a short period in the beginning of her life, but grew up in Glen Burnie, Maryland most of her life and lived there most of her adult life. She went to live with her daughter in Leonardtown, Maryland in March 2006 so she could be cared for by her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Jean Shields of Leonardtown, MD, two sons, Victor Lee Wolff of Winchester, VA, Kenneth Rae Wolff of King George, VA, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Patricia Lee (Bell) Roy of Severn, MD and Deborah Lynn Bell of Glen Burnie, MD. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Henry Carraway (1943-1985) who died in Hagerstown, Md..
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Tilghman Memorial Cemetery, Tilghman Island, MD.
