She was the oldest child born to Mark Charles and Arletta Emma Jensen Herron, and grew up in the Los Angeles area. On New Year's Eve of 1958, her friend, Garnet, invited her to Delta to play cards with a Hinckley boy, by the name of Arlo Taylor. After a year of exchanging letters and 6 in-person dates, they were married on March 26, 1960, in Inglewood, CA They bought a farm and lived in Hinckley, UT. Arlo worked as a custodian and bus driver for Millard County School District and ran the family farm. she worked part time as a lunch lady at the Hinckley Elementary School until it closed and she moved to Delta Middle School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, served as a Town Council Member, Planning and Zoning Commission member, and was honored to be the Grand Marshall of the Hinckley Pioneer Day Celebration in 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arlo; and great-grandson, Axel. Surviving are her son, Skip (Tresa) Taylor of Hinckley; daughter Staci (Dale) Hansen of Farr West; sister: Sandra Virgin of Prescott, AZ; brother, Craig (Barbara) Herron of Mission Viejo, CA; seven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
