Funeral service for Cheryl Ann David, age 61, will be held Thursday, July 20,2023, at 11 a.m. at Ardoin Funeral Home in Elton, LA. Deacon Michael Guillory will officiate.
Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home in Elton on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 10:30 a.m.
Cheryl was born in Kinder, LA in March of 1962 to the union of Robley and LouAna David.
She was raised in Elton, LA and was a 1980 graduate of Elton High School. After graduation, she attended beauty school. Cheryl worked as a bartender most of her life where she made plenty of friends. She was affectionately known as "Tootsie" or "Mommee" to those who had the privilege to get to know her. She was a natural caretaker and was always there for anyone who needed her. She could be depended upon for a ride home or just to listen if you needed someone to talk to. She loved and adored her grandchildren more than anything in the world. She always did her best as a mother to raise her four children. She loved to dance and was always the life of the party, no matter what room she walked into. Cheryl will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew her.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Phillip Comeaux, Laurie Comeaux, Patricia Comeaux all of Welsh, LA, Chris (Heather) Comeaux of Luckey, Ohio; daughter-in- law, Stacey (Joshua) Rougeau of Elton, LA; grandchildren, Kamon Wier and Kaisley Comeaux of Welsh, LA, Kye Bouldin-Comeaux of Roswell, NM, Lainey Comeaux, Colby Comeaux and Rosaleigh Comeaux, all of Elton, LA; siblings, Donna Bertrand and Joseph Esaus David of Elton, and Derwin David; great nephew and caretaker, Francis Comeaux Jr. of Elton; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Robley and LouAna David; and two siblings, infant brother, Francis David, and Anthony David.
