Archie George Miller, 92, of Peru, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Illinois Veterans Home, LaSalle.
Private family graveside services will be held in Peru City Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Archie was born September 13, 1930 in LaSalle to Archie F. and Margaret (Terando) Miller. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. After serving his country, he worked at Westclox as a time study specialist for over 20 years. He married Grace Heath on December 31, 1953. She passed away August 15, 2000. He was a member of the Chicago-Milwaukee Hudson Club, Grace United Methodist Church in LaSalle and was a licensed ham radio operator.
Archie could fix just about anything. You could always find him working on clocks, gas engines or his beloved Hudson classic cars.
Survivors include a son, David Miller of Bay City, MI; a granddaughter, Jessica (Jason) Scott of Dalzell; a great-granddaughter, Madison Scott of Dalzell; three brothers, Richard Miller of Dalzell, William (Betty) Miller of Clearwater, FL and Ross Miller of Augusta, GA and a sister, Judith Savitch of LaSalle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Grace and a granddaughter, Krystal Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Illinois Veterans Home, LaSalle.
