Leyland Bert Walsh, age 100, Elizabethton passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 in the Life Care Center of Elizabethton. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late James & Myrtle Walsh. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. In earlier years, Mr. Walsh was employed at North American Rayon Corporation, then at Carter County Memorial Hospital, and last worked as a watchman at Lakeshore Marina. He was an elder of Carter Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ethel Howard Walsh, who passed away May 3, 2011.
