Later, he joined the United States Air Force. After he was discharged, he moved back to Louisiana where he worked for Burge Corporation.
Larry married and had two daughters, one born in 1979 and the other in 1981, whom he raised himself.
Larry had a passion for Ham Radios which he loved to talk on.
Larry is survived by his two daughters, Sherry Lynn Payn and Stefanie Louise Payn and his grandchildren Amber Marie Lambert, Dalton Michael Dietrich, John Paul Lambert, Jr, Avrian Isaac Ventura, Averyana Michelle Abshire and Madson Payn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Adabelle Payn.
Larry was loved by family and friends and will be missed dearly.
Upon his request there will be no services or gatherings.
