Franklin, or Frank as he was known, was the second of four children born to Addison Mirza Youngs & Allison Naomi "Alice" Quimby; his siblings being: Damon E Youngs, Mary Youngs, and Maud M Youngs.

He was united in marriage to Sophie Yonke on January 13, 1902. To this union eleven known children were born: John Addison Youngs, Helen Youngs, Catherine Youngs, Dorothy Youngs, Edward Youngs, Henry Youngs, Margaret Youngs, Laura M. Youngs, Carl A. Youngs, Evelyn K. Youngs, and Raymond "Ray" Youngs.

Per WWI Draft Registration Card, he was of medium height, stout build, had grey eyes and dark hair.

He answered the summons to the spirit world at the age of 50y, 4m, and 16d, and was interned on April 21, 1931.
