She worked in quality control for Shaw Industries for over 38 years before retiring, and was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James A "Buck" Wyatt and Inez Gibson Wyatt; brother, Jimmy "Chip" Wyatt; and sisters, Myrtle Wyatt Poole, Lila E Hutchins, and Nettie Inez Bowling. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, David Edwards; sons, Derek Edwards and Michael Edwards and wife, Kari; grandchildren, Beau Avery (Stormy), Montana Santillan (Alejandro), Ava-Grace Edwards, and Harli Edwards; great-granddaughter, Birklee Avery; sister, Pat Wyatt Moss
