James Stegeman 75 died Sunday in Othello Community Hospital. He was born in Biddeton and was a veteran of World War II. He was a farmer in Washtucna and moved to Othello in 1966, where he was a ditch rider for Columbia Basin Irrigation District, before retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Othello Eagles Lodge. Survivors include son Martin Min ter Phoenix Arizona, daughter Sarah Rybacki Othello, stepdaughter Dorothy Ziegan Moses Lake, grandson Tom Pardun Edmonds, brother Fred Stegeman, Albany Ore, sister Anna Anderson Walla Walla, 10 grandchildren nine great grandchildren. His wife Edwina died in 1971. Services will be at 10 am Thursday in Muscott Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Washtucna Cemetery.
