Juanita Reed, 82, of North Liberty, Iowa, died on July 5, 2023, at Windsor Manor Nursing Home in Coralville, Iowa.

An artist, wife, and mother she is survived by her husband Loren; her three daughters Jennifer Reed (Dave), Kristin Hill (Chad), and Catherine Reed Thureson (Michael); seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and her brother, Terry Poffinbarger (Gretchen).

Juanita lived most of her life in the Quad Cities.

She was a talented artist. She spent her career as an illustrator and exhibit specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal, though much of her personal work focused on beautiful color pencil drawings. She loved reading and music and was a deeply spiritual person who was always interested in learning about and from others. Her greatest passion was her family, whom she loved without reservation. She will be deeply missed.
