Ms. Richard was born in 1922 to the late James and Virginia(Barksdale)McDaniel. She was the 2nd woman in Arkansas to join the United States Navy as a "WAVE." Ms. Richards was also a devoted member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband: William "Ned" Richards; a granddaughter: Tammy Garner; and two sisters: Martha Young and dorthea Thompson.
She is survived by one daughter: Regina "Reggie" Biswelland her husband, Bob of Benton, Arkansas; one son: Michael L. Richards of Benton, Arkansas; her grandchildren: Cindy Condrey andher husband, Ken of Carney, Oklahoma, Melody Estes and her husband Jimmy of Benton, Arkansas, Matthew Garner of Orlando, Flordia, James Garner of Lakeland, Florida; her precious great-grandchildren: Isabella and Faith Condrey,and Laken and Jude Estes; a sister: Pauline Brown; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 2:00p.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Carl Richey officiated the services.
Pallbearers were: Ken Condrey, Bob Biswell, Jimmy Estes, Ruben Rankin, Kevin Mansfield, and Terry McClanhan.
Honorary pallbearers were: The "Homemaker" Sunday School Class.
