Barbara Bartlett Bunker Burns, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother joined her Father in heaven on January 1, 2017.

Barbara was born June 24, 1935 in Bartlett, TX the second child of Lynn and Iva Bartlett.In 1954, Barbara married Capt. W.R. Bunker and had two children. They were stationed at several locations in the U.S. during his service in the U.S. Air Force. Barbara moved back to Bartlett, her home town, on W.R.'s deployment to Vietnam in 1962. W.R. lost his life in Kon Tum, Vietnam that same year.

In 1964, Barbara married Bobby J. Burns and they made their home in Bartlett, TX raising her children and both being very involved in their church and community organizations.
Barbara was an LVN and worked for many years in the Granger and Bartlett Resthomes. She genuinely loved caring for everyone and especially the senior community. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Bartlett, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (for over 50 years) and the Women's Wednesday Club.

Barbara died January 1, 2017 at Creekside Terrace in Belton, TX after a lengthy Illness. Services will be held Wednesday, January 4, at 10am at Goodnight Funeral Home in Bartlett, TX. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6p-8p
She was preceded in death by her husband W.R. Bunker, her husband Bobby J. Burns and her sister Ilyn Kaspar.

She is survived by her daughter, Kitty Bunker of Harlingen; her son Bartlett Bunker (Judy) of Academy; her granddaughter Brianna (Bert) Aguilar of Carrollton; her grandson William (Moriah) of Conroe and great grandchildren Beckett, Berlynn and Brantson.

Pallbearers will be William Bunker, Bert Aguilar and Goodnight Staff.
